Every year 6% of high school seniors go on to play NCAA college sports. And every year, less than 2% of college athletes go pro. Few stand out like Tim Tebow, Buster Posey or Blake Griffin. Instead, the majority of college athletes hang up their jerseys after graduation and enter the work force with the rest of us.
Two weeks ago, I met Greg Green, one of the 98% who did not go pro after playing college ball. Green played inside linebacker for the University of Montana, graduated in 1985,and now works as an independent insurance agent in Northern California. When you step into his office, you see his football story on the wall, and if you take time to listen, you will hear how sports shaped his life.
