How to protect your child’s teeth: a mouthguard that makes it fun!

These days, it’s common to see athletes on all levels wearing mouthguards. As it should be.

Mouthguards provide necessary protection for the athlete’s teeth. But to provide this protection, the athlete must actually wear the mouthguard in their mouth, not jam it in his helmet or hang it out of her mouth. You can buy your child a mouthguard, but you cannot make him keep it in place.

Why is it so hard for an athlete to keep the mouthguard in his mouth?

Wearing a sports mouthguard isn’t a great experience… it has no taste. Imagine if you regularly chewed gum with no flavor or all you could ever drink is water. Pretty boring, right?! Well, for athletes at all levels, from pee wee to the professional ranks, the MoGo Performance series mouthguard is the solution.

Add some flavor

MoGo is the sports mouthguard your child will want to keep in his mouth because it has great-tasting flavors.
Using a patent-pending, FDA-compliant technology, MoGo offers several great tasting flavors–bubble gum, fruit punch, orange, lemon, and mint–in its sports mouthguards, flavors that are actually embedded into the plastic so that it lasts for the entire life of the mouthguard. Their technology uses all natural ingredients, is latex and BPA free, and has passed all toxicity tests.
The MoGo Mouthguard was designed in partnership with one of the leading sports engineering firms in the U.S. that has decades of experience developing youth mouthguards, sports protection equipment and helmets for professional and youth football, hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and other contact sports.
Besides its good taste–it comes in 5 flavors–the MoGo Mouthguard provides maximum comfort, protection, and breathability so your child can focus and perform at his best.
  • Athletes from every sports are wearing MoGo.
  • Quick-release tether included
  • The current model is not designed for brace, but a braces model will be released in July

  1. I am sure the mouthguard is an improtant tool for athletes like boxers but I don’t think children will need it except they will use it for fighting, wrestling etc.

    • Many athletes use mouthguards. I see NBA basketball players, football players (of course!), wearing mouthguards. I see athletes in many sports wearing mouthguards. Some experts even say that mouthguards can help guard against concussions, although I do not know the specifics of that. So they are definitely more than just for wrestling, fighting.

  2. This sounds like a fantastic idea! Kids need mouth guards for so many sports – how about soccer and hockey and even things like roller blading.

    • Lisa, mouthguards are great for any sport that could bring injury to kids mouths/teeth. Hockey for sure!

  4. I very much agree that kids need these mouth guards to protect themselves from accident in sports, it keeps them losing their teeth to any injuries & accidents within a sport or any activity that involves physical.

  5. I find it cool whenever I see an athlete wearing mouthguards. I never thought using that stuff can also be worn by children to protect their young teeth. I will ask my bartlett dentist if he can give me those.

  6. My brother never wore is mouthguard when he played hockey. I remember being at the game when he got nailed in the mouth with a hockey stick and it knocked out 2 of his teeth. My dad told him over and over to wear is mouthguard. Lesson learned I guess.

  10. Safety first is our main focus why we allow our kids using mouthguards when playing physical sports. This serves as protection on their young teeth and it would really help them away from teeth injuries.

  11. Missing teeth may occur for a variety of reasons. There may be tooth loss due to gum disease, age, an accident, sports injury, or the missing teeth may be a congenital malformation in which the teeth never developed.dental implants nj
