Gifts for your child can be pretty costly. At least in terms of money.
Christmas and birthdays can drain your wallet and even then the gifts or toys are often forgotten before it’s time for another Christmas or birthday to roll around. If I added up what I spent on all the toys and gifts that were never used, easily broken, or quickly lost in my 25 years of parenting, it would probably fund a year of college!
However, there are gifts for your child that will withstand the test of time and will only cost you some of yourself and your love. These are the most priceless gifts of all, yet they are the ones that parents often overlook because we are often so busy or tired or stressed that it’s way easier to just spend money on our kids and forget the gifts that will leave a lifelong imprint on your child.
I truly believe that. My parents didn’t always have a lot of money to spend on us six kids as we were growing up, but the love and time they poured into us was a heritage that went way beyond the meager monetary inheritance they left behind.
Give gifts for your child that last
Your child probably doesn’t even know it and he may never say it, but there are things he wants more than the newest video game, the coolest Barbie, or the newest iPod. These are the gifts that he really wants. Read more.
