Seventy-seven. That’s the number of coaches–give or take a few–my three children have had over the past 17 years. We’ve experienced almost every kind of coach you can imagine.
From the emotional butt-chewer to the poker-face who’s very hard to read.
Then there’s the coach who tries to please everyone and doesn’t care about winning or the coach who cares way too much about winning and not enough about developing players.
Even with the endless coach personalities out there, I have concluded that there are really only two kinds: the ones we like and the ones we don’t.
And if your kids play sports for any length of time, you are going to have both.
So what do you do when your child doesn’t like his coach?
